Giving Back to Fort Worth
Baird has a long tradition of giving back to the communities where our associates live and work by volunteering our time and using our resources. Our ongoing commitment to building relationships in the community and empowering associates to get involved is central to our culture at Baird and the Gamez Adams team.
We've engaged with several outstanding organizations, some of which are listed below.
Safehaven of tarrent county
SafeHaven is the only state designated family violence center in Tarrant County. Their goal is to end domestic violence by providing violence shelters and transitional housing to keep victims safe and resources and legal aid to hold offenders accountable. Their Prevention Team works in schools in programs designed to prevent and decrease dating and bullying violence. Jim Hazel, a former team member, started donating to the organization over a decade ago. The Gamez Adams team has been donating since.
Cristo REy
Cristo Rey Fort Worth (CRFW) is a Catholic college preparatory school. Their goal is to provide Tarrant County students with limited economic means an education in faith, purpose, and service. Through college preparatory curriculum and a Corporate Work Study Program they prepare students for college and careers. Students get placed in local business for The Corporate Work Study Program where they earn up to 50% of the cost of their education. Baird has and is a host for Christo Rey students, while George has spent the past few years volunteering his time as a mentor.
Chisholm Trail 100 Club
The Chisholm Trail 100 Club supports the first responders of Johnson, Somervell and Hood counties. They provide benefits to over 1,985 law enforcement officers, firefighters, correctional officers and emergency medical personnel. Benefits include accidental death and dismemberment benefits and disbursement to the family of an active first responder who dies off-duty. Mike has been involved with this organization for several years.
aledo growth Committee
Aledo Growth Committee was formed in 2022 to help the district construct the Aledo ISD 2023 Bond and a long-range plan for district growth. Members share their community input, in periodic meetings, to help shape the vision and priorities for future development. George has served on the committee since it was formed. George is a father to a current Aledo high schooler and three Aledo graduates.
Baird Gives Back
Many Baird associates team up during Baird Gives Back Week, an event held annually in the spring, to serve local community organizations that are in need of help. In 2024, associates donated nearly 6,500 volunteer hours to help support non-profit organizations and individuals across the firm’s global footprint.
