I grew up in Fort Worth, attended Arlington Heights High School and Texas Christian University where I received a Bachelor of Business Administration. I began my career in financial planning in 2000 with A.G. Edwards. The tumultuous investment decade that followed proved that in every market there’s always an opportunity to invest for those who are willing to be thoughtful and patient. In 2011 our team moved to Baird, which has been a great fit for our business model.
My wife Jennifer and I live in Aledo. We have one child in the Aledo Independent School District, one at Texas A & M, a Texas A & M business grad, and one at UT Long School of Medicine in San Antonio. We all enjoy travelling, being active and attending each others events.
I am committed to open and honest communication with my clients and putting their needs first. My objective is to advise you so that you can focus on achieving your long term financial goals.

I grew up in the rural community of China Spring, Texas and graduated from China Spring High School. In 1994 I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Arlington with a BBA in Finance. My Career as a Financial Advisor began in 1995 in the Ft Worth office of A. G. Edwards. In 1999 I moved to Albuquerque, NM to manage the Edwards office there. In 2007 I was asked to return to Ft Worth to manage the office where my career started. In April of 2011 I joined the Baird family, becoming the Branch Manager in 2014. In January of 2017 I officially teamed up with Jim Hazel, George Gamez, & Michell Barber to form The HGA Group. I currently hold the Series 3, 7, 8, 63, & 66 licenses as well as the Texas Department of Insurance license.
I'm very blessed to have three wonderful women in my life – my wife, Mitzi, and my two daughters, Rachel & Claire. Mitzi & I attend Willow Park Baptist Church and I’m also committed to family, friends, clients and anything on two wheels.
For me, the most important thing in a successful financial relationship is communication. Most financial decisions involve, or are governed by, emotions. Candid communication is the only way I've found to address emotional decisions.

A DFW Metroplex native, I graduated from L.D. Bell High School then went on to the University of Oklahoma where I earned my degree as a Bachelor of Science in Education. After teaching for 13 years, I decided to start a new journey in the finance industry. I joined Baird and the HGA group in 2023, and have been enjoying this new opportunity ever since!
My husband and I live in North Richland Hills with our two daughters, a cat, and a dog. When we aren’t at a soccer game or cheer event, we enjoy spending time with our family and friends.
I am grateful for this second chapter in my career, and look forward to working with the team’s clients!
